Guizhou and Huawei inks cooperation agreement on rural education

Guizhou Normal University in Southwest China's Guizhou province signed an agreement with Huawei on Aug 5 to cooperate on scientific research, talent cultivation, and smart campus construction.

As a global leading supplier of infrastructure and smart terminals for information and communication technology, Huawei strives to build a smart and connected world.

The cooperation will be carried out in the emerging fields of 5G communication, big data, AI, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. By setting up an innovative talent center in Guizhou Normal University, Huawei will support the cultivation of talent in related areas.

Based on 5G networks, Huawei and Guizhou Normal University will explore the application of VR and AI technologies in rural education, as well as the construction of a smart campus.

According to Xiao Yuanping, president of Guizhou Normal University, the cooperation will allow both sides to assist in industrial reform, poverty alleviation, and revitalization efforts in rural areas.

Representatives of Huawei visited Guzihou Normal University's innovation and entrepreneurship education base. They were impressed by the university's efforts in educational innovation.

Huawei representatives expressed their wishes to combine its latest technologies with Guizhou Normal University's advanced educational ideas and cultivate industrial talents with Guizhou features.
