The "Guizhou-Hong Kong Sister Schools" signing ceremony was held on March 31 at Guanshanhu Middle School in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. Five primary and secondary schools from Guanshanhu district established sister-school partnerships with schools in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, marking the start of a close educational collaboration.

These partnerships aim to deepen exchanges and cooperation in basic education and cultural understanding as both sides strengthen teacher and student visits, share educational resources, and exchange best practices in school management, teaching methods, and faculty development.

A Guanshanhu district education bureau representative noted, "Over the years, Guizhou and Hong Kong have conducted various educational exchanges, offering fresh development ideas for both sides. These new partnerships will further enhance cultural ties, drive innovation in education, and provide students with a more diverse learning environment".

A Hong Kong-Guizhou Culture Exchange Foundation spokesperson added, "This agreement brings new opportunities and energy to both sides. We hope students will gain lasting friendships and valuable knowledge through the exchange".

Following the signing, the Hong Kong delegation visited classrooms showcasing the schools' special curriculum programs and enjoyed student performances, including a dragon dance, traditional Chinese music, and a drone display.
