The Guanzhou Pocket Park, located on Shinan Road in Nanming district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently opened to the public, improving the quality of life in the surrounding neighborhood.
Upon entering the park, which covers an area of nearly 1,000 square meters, visitors will find well-arranged landscapes, conveniently-placed benches, walkways, and a full array of fitness equipment.
The Nanming district comprehensive administrative law enforcement bureau has removed old structures, added greenery, and designed floral landscapes. It has increased the coverage of shrubs, flowers and ground cover plants to 451.6 square meters, making it a great place to unwind and connect with nature.
Additionally, the bureau has built a "semi-enclosed" riverside landscape pocket park. The park features aesthetically designed landscape trellises and benches, offering residents a space to converse and relax.
At the same time, a children's plaza and fitness playground will help meet local demand for leisure and exercise facilities.
Moving forward, the bureau will continuously optimize the park's setup and increase management and maintenance efforts, ensuring that the urban development process benefits the people as much as possible.
