The Guizhou Long March Digital Art Memorial (Hongpiaodai) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially opened to the public on Oct 22.
As Guizhou's first immersive digital experience pavilion for red culture and tourism, Hongpiaodai offers performances of "Red Ribbon: The Great Journey" and the flying performance "Red Ribbon: Fly Over Guizhou".
The "Red Ribbon: The Great Journey" boasts the most sophisticated real-life irregular display system and the largest elliptical screen cinema in the industry, and incorporates the latest technologies such as AI virtual interaction, holographic imaging, full-dimensional mechanical movement, virtual reality, and a three-dimensional sound field to digitally recreate the Long March.
The "Red Ribbon: Fly Over Guizhou" features an 8K giant LED spherical screen cinema, taking viewers on a journey over the beautiful mountains and rivers of Guizhou.
Hongpiaodai has been honored with over 10 awards in various fields, such as architectural engineering, technological innovation, and exhibition promotion.
Since its trial operation on the 87th anniversary of the Long March victory on Oct 22, 2023, Hongpiaodai has performed a total of 8,300 shows, with 1 million visits from both within and outside the province, including nearly 800,000 visits watching the performances.
"Red Ribbon: The Great Journey" has had a maximum of 11 performances in a single day, while "Red Ribbon: Fly Over Guizhou" has had a maximum of 82 performances in a single day, with a maximum of 20,000 visits received in a day.
