The Huaxi National City Wetland Park in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, links Shili Hetan, Huaxi Park, and the agricultural sightseeing belt from Luoping to Pingqiao with the Huaxi River.

The wetland park's fresh air, plentiful trees and gently-flowing river offer an unparalleled sense of relaxation. Strolling or cycling along the winding paths feels moving through a beautiful landscape painting.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the wetland park is an excellent place to spend the weekend with family and friends. Visitors can bike, enjoy a picnic with their family, participate in various parent-child activities, or have outdoor barbecues with friends.

The cycling route in the wetland park is considered one of the most beautiful in Guiyang. It starts from Huaxi Park and passes through Shili Hetan and Maiweng Bouyei Ancient Village before finally reaching the Confucius Academy.

This route is about 15 kilometers in total and takes about two hours to bike at moderate intensity, making it suitable for short suburban cycling. Along the way, there are natural river wetlands, artificial rice fields, ponds, ditches, and other types of natural pastoral scenery.

Additionally, the route offers ancient buildings and cultural landscapes, such as Maiweng Bouyei Ancient Village and the Confucius Academy.

During the ride, visitors can enjoy tulips, primroses, peach blossoms, and other flowers blooming throughout the seasons, making the cycling experience truly enjoyable.
