The Guiyang Surfing Town, located at Taoyuan Reservoir in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, opened to the public on Aug 22.

Taoyuan Reservoir, Xiuwen's first medium-sized reservoir, boasts vast waters and is surrounded by lush green mountains and trees, providing an ideal natural environment for the surfing town.

Guiyang Surfing Town offers a variety of sports such as wakeboarding, jet skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, water biking and surfing.

Additionally, it includes facilities like camping, beaches, BBQ areas and cafes, making it Guiyang's first comprehensive water sports experience center that combines leisure, family-friendly activities and interactive experiences.

In May of this year, Guiyang Water Environment Group Co's subsidiary Guiyang Zhushi Water Conservancy Industry Development Co partnered with Shandong Weihai Shengqi Tourism Development Co to create the town.

The construction of Guiyang Surfing Town prioritized ecological protection, adhered to the concept of green development, and made every effort to maintain and improve the ecological environment of the reservoir and its surroundings.

The project not only enriches Guiyang's tourism industry and revitalizes reservoir resources with new approaches, but also provides visitors with the opportunity to experience new water sports and boosts local economic development by stimulating local employment, catering and accommodation.

In the future, Guiyang Surfing Town is expected to become a popular leisure destination for locals and tourists, injecting vitality into Guiyang's culture and tourism industries.

Moving forward, Guiyang Water Environment Group Co will take the opening of the town as an opportunity to contribute to the vitalization of resources and ecological development as a State-owned enterprise.
