Guizhou Ocean No 1, located in Colorful Guizhou City in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently opened. This marked the launch of Guizhou's first land-based cruise complex to integrate culture, tourism, entertainment, and shopping.
The complex, shaped like a giant cruise ship cutting through waves, boasts a collection of colorful fish and sea lion interaction plays, creating an immersive ocean-like experience for visitors.
Guizhou Ocean No 1 offers a variety of interactive experiences combining science education, hands-on activities, and cultural displays.
Modeled after Royal Caribbean International's cruise Icon of the Seas, the complex covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters, allowing diners to enjoy their meals while observing the open kitchen where dishes are prepared.
It also features trendy facilities such as a dish conveyor belt, robot services, a seafood self-selection area with live seafood, and a cocktail-mixing robotic arm.
From mountains and rivers to the sea, and from art to cuisine, Guizhou Ocean No 1, transformed from traditional architecture in Colorful Guizhou City, aims to become a one-stop destination for dining, lodging, culture, tourism, entertainment, shopping, and fun.
It will also regularly host a variety of themed activities and educational courses, becoming not only a new highlight of Colorful Guizhou City, but also a new cultural and tourism landmark in Guiyang.
Guizhou Ocean No 1 can now accommodate around 3,000 visitors. The seafood served in the restaurant is freshly delivered daily, arriving at the table in the evening.
Efforts are currently underway to develop a mermaid pool around the complex's exterior, which will feature four mermaid performances per day.
It will also introduce a type of fish called golden trevally in the pool, which will create a golden vortex when approached, adding to the complex's visual appeal.
