Guiyang captivates summer tourists with irresistible charm

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is winning over visitors with its cool summer breeze, as the popularity of summer tourism continues to rise.

On Aug 2, a tour group consisting of over 100 tourists from Hong Kong and Macao arrived at Guiyang's Qingyan Ancient Town to explore the local culture, enjoy the beautiful scenery, savor delicious food, and experience the coolness of Guiyang in the summer.

Qingyan Ancient Town not only boasts culturally-rich old streets, but a lively food culture as well. At a local restaurant, the tourists have the opportunity to taste local delicacies like Zhuangyuan braised pork knuckle as well as Cantonese dishes such as white-cut chicken and steamed perch, savoring the taste of home.

To offer visitors the best experience of visiting and accommodation possible, Qingyan Ancient Town is creating new sightseeing projects. The scenic area is currently welcoming around 30,000 to 40,000 visitors per day.

Tourists can take photos, enjoy the lantern display at night, and experience JetLev. The Qingyan image store of "Guiyang Gifts" has officially opened in the Beimen Square seeking area, and an intangible cultural heritage market of "Guiyang Gifts" has been set up.

Diverse activities have encouraged visitors to stay longer, while also boosting consumption for surrounding accommodations, dining, shopping, and more.
