In recent years, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have focused on meeting the expectations of the masses, improving the city's functional support, enhancing the city's attractiveness, and creating a more livable environment.

Guiyang and Gui'an are making full use of corner spaces and idle land, combining the surrounding environment, population density, and public needs to build micro-parks and improve roadside greening, integrating them into the urban landscape while providing nearby residents with venues for leisure and exercise.

In Jian'an Road, Baiyun district, a pocket park called Yunshang Garden is nestled between a road and a residential community. The park's landscaping is layered with trees, shrubs, flowers, mountains and rocks, showcasing the beauty of nature. Many residents like strolling around and relaxing in the park, enjoying the coolness of summer.

The green area of the park is about 8,000 square meters, decorated with ornamental plants such as large osmanthus, red leaf plums, ginkgos, cherry blossoms, and camphor trees.

The construction of the pocket park adhered to local conditions, carrying out area transformation and landscape refinement based on the original terrain, emphasizing coordination with the surrounding buildings, roads, and other environments while making the pocket park a scenic spot in itself.

Next to North Baiyun Road, Dashandong sub-district, Baiyun district, a traffic park called Shijiaokou, themed around Jiefang vehicles, has created a unique cultural atmosphere.

Beside the seats in the park, there is a promotional area featuring important historical events in the development of transportation in Baiyun. Locals said that the park not only provides more space for leisure activities for the public, but also enriches residents' cultural lives and creates a strong cultural atmosphere in the community.

In recent years, Guanshanhu district has been focusing on building "15-minute living circles", creating urban greenways with a total planned length of about 400 kilometers. The greenways are divided into three parts: the central area with Guanshanhu Park at its core, the western area with Yueshan Lake at its core, and the eastern area with Yingpanpo at its core.

In Lifeng Garden, a pocket park near Guiyang No 1 High School, a leisure square has been created around two large camphor trees in the park, with curved benches installed.

The park is filled with plants such as wood chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, and azaleas. During flowering season, the park is a popular place for many residents to relax and take photos.
