Guiyang realizes digital transformation of public healthcare service

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been exploring digital transformation in healthcare in recent years, developing new medical care service models to safeguard the health of its residents.

AI automated vaccine workstations and the Guiyang internet health service platform have been put into use, forming a comprehensive health security network for residents.

Automated vaccine cold storage facilities are now utilizing intelligent storage management systems, enabling the automatic uploading of vaccine entry and exit data, types, specifications, quantities, and operator information.

Information such as cold storage operation status, temperature, and low-stock vaccines are displayed in real-time. Following the "first in, first out" principle, vaccine management has been enhanced and vaccine safety has been ensured. Three CDC vaccine cold storage facilities in Guiyang have completed automation upgrades.

Not only is vaccination smarter and safer, but Guiyang has also developed an internet health service platform to better serve its citizens.

The Guiyang internet health service platform is a vital platform that integrates the city's medical resources to provide in-depth medical and health services, leveraging new-generation information technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and AI.

By moving traditional health and medical services to the cloud, the platform represents a significant initiative in promoting medical service innovation and enhancing the well-being of residents.

Currently, the platform includes features such as chronic disease prescription renewal, online consultations, and door-to-door nursing services.

Users can easily engage in online consultations via their mobile phones, obtain electronic prescriptions, and purchase required medications at retail pharmacies. The platform supports online payment with medical insurance, and users can enjoy medicine delivery from physical pharmacies working with the platform.

Furthermore, the platform offers psychological screening services and features sections such as "psychological education, counseling, and encyclopedia", establishing a social psychological service system that provides stress relief and emotional support services.

To better meet the medical needs of its residents, in April of this year, the Guiyang internet health service platform collaborated with the "Shuang Guiyang" app, the municipal smart comprehensive service platform in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, to launch a health record service function.

This service includes medical consultation records, test results, examination records, medication records, and other relevant medical information. Users can access their medical consultation records anytime and anywhere for follow-up visits, streamlining communication between patients and doctors, eliminating issues such as lost paper medical records, and reducing consultation times.
