Since the beginning of summer, temperatures have been rising across the country, but Guiyang remains pleasantly cool.

According to relevant data, thanks to its cool climate, roadside concerts, delicious food, and other activities, Guiyang has seen a 174-percent year-on-year increase in summer tour bookings, putting it among the top 10 domestic summer tourist destinations.

Guiyang has fully tapped into its summer retreats, educational tours, and sports events, showcasing its excellence in health, culture, sightseeing, food, shopping and travel to tourists.

Making the most of the peak summer tourist season, Guiyang has launched 12 key summer tourism demonstration areas at the municipal level and 43 at district and county levels, offering diverse and distinctive summer tourism products.

Guiyang's green waters and lush mountains not only provide an escape from the summer heat, but also offer diverse tourism experiences.

For young people, Guiyang is not just a summer resort, but a trendy city bursting with youthful energy. They can enjoy free roadside concerts at night, hang out with the macaques at Qianlingshan Park, feel the hustle and bustle at Qingyun Market, and experience rural life at Qingzhen's Youer village.

This summer, Guiyang will host over 800 cultural, commercial, educational, sports, and tourism activities, including the Tianhetan summer-themed fireworks show, the first water-land-air canyon crossing challenge at Nanjiang Grand Canyon, the Taoyuan River summer drift race, and the 2024 China Paddle Board Open Tournament.
