Innovation and entrepreneurship competition kicks off in Gui'an

The Gui'an New Area selection contest of the sixth "China Chuangyi" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition's Guizhou division was held on May 31, with a total of five first prize-winning projects selected.

The competition kicked off at the end of April. After registration, project review, and pre-competition guidance, 26 projects stood out from numerous applicants and were selected for inclusion in the Gui'an selection contest.

The contest consisted of two main competition categories, including advanced manufacturing and modern services, and three special competition categories, including rural vitalization, silver economy, and green economy.

The 12 teams from the two main competitions and the 14 teams from the three special competitions each conducted project roadshows on that day.

The roadshows consisted of three parts: project introduction, questioning and evaluation by judges, and scoring by judges. Each participating team had a limited allotment of time to demonstrate the possible influence of their projects on the industry and society in terms of employment, project development advantages, and strategic planning.

The contest invited entrepreneurship mentors, industry experts, university professors, investment and financing institutions, and other experts and entrepreneurs to serve as judges.

Five judges from different fields evaluated the projects in terms of innovation, employment opportunities, project team, development status, and prospects, and scored them according to different competition categories.

After intense competition, five projects respectively won first prizes in the advanced manufacturing, modern service, rural vitalization, green economy, and silver economy categories. In addition, a total of 11 participating teams from various categories received excellence awards.

This contest is expected to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and connect with investment and financing resources, as well as incubate and cultivate talent.

Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area will actively provide support in terms of projects, funds, technology, and venues, seek out innovative teams and talent, and boost the high-quality development of Gui'an.
