Rapid growth on horizon for Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City

According to a work conference on the development of the core area of Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City held on May 7, the innovation city will focus on planning, investment attraction, population, construction, and governance to accelerate the development of its core area.

The total planned area of the innovation city is 54.8 square kilometers, with the core area covering 7.01 sq km. By the end of April this year, the innovation city had attracted a total of 958 companies, of which 657 were big data companies, accounting for 68.5 percent of the total.

The innovation city will optimize the planning of one core area, two industrial parks, and three industrial valleys. It will combine residential, commercial, office, and cultural areas to achieve a balance between work and accommodation, and to form a complete urban ecosystem.

The innovation city will also give priority to attracting investment and bringing in capital. It will focus on attracting investment in the headquarters economy, digital economy, productive services and living services, and strive to attract a number of large, high-quality, and new projects.

Throughout the year, efforts will be made to attract a total of 50 Huawei Cloud eco-partners to expand and strengthen the Huawei Cloud ecosystem.

In addition, it will use industrial clusters, projects and platforms to attract, gather and retain talents. It will implement policies on talent service card, finance, household registration, housing, and employment.

Through these efforts, the innovation city strives to attract more than 5,000 talents of various types throughout the year, and encourage people from all walks of life to live and work there, with a target of 18,170 new residents.

Furthermore, the innovation city will prioritize projects to enhance construction. It will focus on coordinating the construction of industrial carriers, talent apartments, and supporting facilities, addressing problems and difficulties to accelerate project construction.

In terms of governance, the innovation city will focus on the construction of smart industrial parks as well, providing online platforms for supervision, government affairs services, and governance. It will modernize industrial park governance with digital technology and promote full-process closed-loop management.
