Guiyang Metro Line 3 officially starts operating

At 1:30 pm on Dec 16, with just half an hour remaining until the official launch of Guiyang Metro Line 3, many residents queued up at entrance A of the Huaguoyuan Metro Station.

"I live near Huaguoyuan and finally won't need to rely on buses to get to Huaxi Park. I came specifically today to experience the new metro line," said local resident He Lin.

By 2:00 pm, the ticket hall at the Huaguoyuan Metro Station was brimming with passengers eager to experience their first ride.

"I just wanted to be on the first train and experience it. I look forward to weekends when I can visit Huaxi University City and Huaxi Park easily. I'm very excited," said local resident Li Xuejing, who resides in Huaguoyuan and works near the Songhua Road Metro Station. With Metro Line 3 now operational, she can conveniently commute via the metro.

The hall of the Huaguoyuan Metro Station boasts triangular light fixtures on the ceiling shaped like an orchid – the city flower. The station also accommodates a police service center to ensure passenger safety.

Guiyang Metro Line 3 operates from 6:20 am to 11:00 pm, providing services for 17.6 hours daily, with a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
