As an important hub along the New International Land-sea Trade Corridor, Guizhou has aligned itself with national strategies and joined the "13+2" inter-provincial cooperation mechanism.

Guiyang has expanded the coverage and influence of the corridor, promoted the open development of provinces and cities in western China, connected with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and served and integrated into the "dual circulation" development pattern in which the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international economic cycle serves as an extension and supplement.

As an important platform for the development of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in Guizhou, Guiyang International Land Port has adopted a "whole train direct delivery" transportation model, realizing seamless logistics connection from Guiyang to Qinzhou Port, and then to customers.

The port has areas for railway operation, storage, distribution, processing, and offices, as well as a grain and oil trading market, steel trading market, and other areas.

The port is filled with neatly-arranged containers and goods. On-site staff members are verifying cargo information, inspecting containers, and loading them with cranes, even on weekends.

As of Sept 27, the port had operated over 3,000 trains with 8,646 containers, including 22 China-Europe freight trains with 2,420 containers, 2,853 Guizhou-Guangdong freight trains with 5,706 containers, and 205 trains on the New International Land-sea Trade Corridor with 410 containers. The volume of transported goods shows a trend of continuous growth.
