Guizhou Mountain Dance Art Exchange Week kicks off in Guiyang

The Guizhou Mountain Dance Art Exchange Week, part of the 2023 Colorful Guizhou Culture & Art Festival, opened in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 14.

In 2007, the Chinese Dancers Association awarded Guiyang the title of China's Dance Capital.

The Guizhou Mountain Dance Art Exchange Week is the only mountain dance art festival in the country and the only mountain dance art festival brand. It has been held every year since 2021, generating a positive brand effect for the mountain dance.

The event has attracted more than 10 elite dance troupes from across the country and hundreds of dance troupes from the province, with over 3,000 dancers coming together in Guiyang to give over 50 performances.
