Guiyang city, Xicheng district deepen friendship and cooperation

Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province and Xicheng district in Beijing on Sept 14 signed a cooperation agreement to deepen friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

According to the agreement, both parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as education, healthcare, finance, tourism, big data, and talent exchanges.

During the signing ceremony, Guiyang Mayor Ma Ningyu expressed gratitude on behalf of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee and the Guiyang Municipal Government for the longstanding support from Xicheng district in the economic and social development of Guiyang.

Ma stated that currently, Guiyang is seizing on major opportunities with the support of the State Council for Guizhou's development in the new era of West China Development, and implementing the "Strengthening Provincial Capital" campaign, in order to create a new chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Guiyang City and Guian New Area.

As the core functional area of Beijing, Xicheng district has a longstanding friendship with Guiyang.

It is hoped that both parties can focus on areas such as big data, finance, tourism, education, healthcare, and the cultivation of talent, and carry out a new round of deeper, multi-field, and high-level pragmatic cooperation, making greater contributions to promoting Chinese-style modernization.

Sun Shuo, Party Secretary of Xicheng district, and Liu Dongwei, the district head, warmly welcomed the visit by Ma Ningyu and his delegation.

They mentioned that in recent years, Guiyang has continuously expanded its economic scale and improved its urban status.

In particular, Guiyang has explored a range of good practices and racked up considerable experience in the digital economy, all of which Xicheng can study and emulate.

Both parties can deepen their practical cooperation, strengthen mutual learning, actively plan for collaborative projects, and jointly promote the accelerated and high-quality development of both regions.
