Sci-tech transfer and commercialization center launched in Guiyang

The scientific and technological transfer and commercialization center of the Guizhou Academy of Sciences was launched in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 8.

As an important event of the first Guizhou Science and Technology Festival, the launch ceremony included the signing of contracts with resident companies, the launch of the transfer and commercialization center, and the launch of a science and technology cloud platform, aiming to promote the high-quality development of technological innovation services.

Guided by market demand and focused on problem-solving, the center will handle issues related to the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.

It will improve the industrial technology innovation system and build a technical innovation ecosystem; establish a new type of research and development institution management system with clear responsibilities, reasonable evaluation standards, orderly development, and standardized management; and create a hub-type regional high-end platform that operates as a physical enterprise, possesses relative autonomy, and is driven by innovation.

The center will build a professional talent team for technology transfers, conduct project evaluations and roadshows, and provide comprehensive services such as collecting, analyzing, evaluating, promoting, and transferring technological achievements through market-oriented means.

It will encourage research institutes and universities across the country to commercialize scientific and technological achievements in Guiyang and Guian New Area.

In addition, the science and technology cloud platform will coordinate innovative resources and platforms in Guiyang and Guian, strengthen intellectual property protection, and enhance the capacity of public scientific and technological services.

Based on Guiyang's scientific and technological innovation incentive policies, the center will strengthen the open and shared services of scientific and technological resources, stimulate the innovation vitality of small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises and innovation and entrepreneurship teams, and reduce enterprise innovation input costs.
