Guiyang ranks among top 10 self-driving tours destination in summer

According to the "2023 summer car rental and self-driving travel report" recently released by travel service provider Ctrip, Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province ranked among the top 10 domestic self-driving destinations.

Data show that as of July 27, the number of domestic car rental and self-driving orders for this summer has increased by more than 80 percent compared to last year and has grown by 352 percent compared to the same period in 2019.

As the temperature rises during the summer, seeking coolness has become the primary goal for self-driving tourists. Guiyang has become the top choice for many tourists among the many summer resorts due to its unique natural ecological environment and high forest coverage.

Guiyang is situated at a latitude of 26 degrees north and boasts an average elevation of 1,100 meters. During the summer months, the typical temperature hovers around 22.3 C, accompanied by a relative humidity ranging from 76 percent to 79 percent.

The concentration of negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter exceeds 10,000, and the average wind speed is below 3 meters per second. Guiyang's high altitude and low latitude create a pleasant climate, earning it the reputation of being "China's summer resort."

Since 2022, Guiyang has started to enhance its reputation as "Cool Guiyang," improving the economic industry chain and supporting facilities, enhancing the supply of tourism products and services, and conducting themed activities.

This year, Guizhou has issued preferential policies for summer tourism, attracting many tourists to the province, with self-driving being the preferred transportation choice.

In summer, various scenic spots and attractions in Guiyang have also launched a series of high-quality cultural, tourism, education, and business activities, enriching the tourism industry, improving facilities and services, and boosting tourism consumption.
