A promotional event for Guiyang's summer vacation activities was held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on July 4, during which the two cities signed a tourist source swap agreement.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two cities on tourism development by making full use of their respective resources and advantages. Relying on their governments, enterprises, and market forces, the two cities will strive to swap tourists, share regional information, train talent and accept tourism complaints.

The agreement also includes collaborative marketing and the improvement of the tourism service system.

According to the agreement, efforts will be made to encourage the two cities' tourism enterprises to promote each other's cultural tourism routes, organize for their residents to visit the partner city, strengthen cooperation and exchanges, and provide comprehensive consultation and services for each other related to the development and local tourism business activities.

The two cities should make full use of their media channels to publicize each other's tourism products and assist each other in carrying out tourism marketing activities.

The two parties will organize regular or irregular tourism delegation exchange visits and establish an educational information exchange platform for tourism talent.

A joint mechanism for accepting tourist complaints and ensuring security and emergency rescue will be established to ensure the safety of tourists.

Meanwhile, the two parties will resolutely crack down on improper business practices in areas of cooperation to jointly safeguard their tourism markets and the interests of legitimate operators.
