Pix Moving, an artificial intelligence (AI) company engaged in smart car development in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is currently running its production lines at full capacity.
As market demands increase, the company's orders have significantly increased when compared with previous years. Domestic and international orders have been scheduled until June, and the company's production capacity has tripled.
Pix Moving has been involved in driverless cars since 2016, and is committed to the development and manufacturing of a universal chassis with autonomous driving capabilities.
Its main products include a driverless minibus (Robobus) and an autonomous skateboard chassis (PIXBOT).
The driverless minibus is Pix Moving's first mass-produced passenger-carrying vehicle. It has no steering wheel, has a small steering radius, and has low road width requirements.
The driverless minibus can provide short-distance transportation for people in scenic spots, universities and airports, according to Liu Yue, product manager of Pix Moving.
The company focuses on technology innovation and market demands. It independently developed a universal chassis for autonomous driving by using AI generation design algorithms and large-scale metal 3D printing technology.
In 2017, Pix Moving launched its R&D project for the autonomous driving chassis, and conducted remote driving tests the following year. In 2019, it released the world's first autonomous driving skateboard chassis.
The company has also launched the AAM platform, which is a real-time collaborative design and R&D platform for intelligent vehicles and robotic products.
The autonomous skateboard chassis and other vehicles developed by Pix Moving have entered more than 20 countries, with orders worth hundreds of millions of yuan.
Since this year, Pixing Moving has used its independently-developed new technologies to meet customer demands, develop new products and explore new markets. This has resulted in a growth in both domestic and international orders, Liu added.
