The cherry blossoms in the cherry blossom park in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, are expected to bloom around March 15, and will be in full bloom around March 25.
Since 2002, more than 700,000 cherry blossom trees have been planted in a 24,000-mu (1,600-hectare) area of the park.
The park has three main landscape areas: one viewing deck, one square, and one cherry blossom garden. These are known as the best cherry blossom viewing areas in Guizhou.
During this year's cherry blossom season, the park will optimize inbound and outbound traffic and road facilities in core areas. This will be done to meet the catering, accommodation, transportation, shopping, entertainment and flower–viewing needs of the tourists.
Guian will adjust the service schedules of shuttle buses and sightseeing buses. Adjustments will also be made in entertainment and catering according to the blossom season.
Various cultural and art activities such as camping, salons and art exhibitions will be available in the park. From March 10 to 19, the park will cooperate with the Guizhou Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to launch an activity to boost rural tourism.
