The first biodiversity achievement exhibition in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, kicked off on Jan 3.
The exhibition collects the city's latest biodiversity survey and evaluation data, and introduces the endangered species, species under national protection, endemic species, newly- recorded species, and other species found in the survey.
It also showcases Guiyang's ecological resources and biodiversity conservation achievements.
In the future, Guiyang will strive to improve the diversity, stability and sustainability of its ecosystems, raise public awareness of environmental protection, and promote biodiversity conservation in the city.
Officials and experts from Guiyang and environmental protection organizations attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
