Guiyang architecture lauded at international lighting awards

The Guiyang International Fashion Publishing Center in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently won the honorary award for exterior architectural illuminations at the Sixth LIT Lighting Design Awards.

As one of the top three preeminent international lighting design awards, the 2022 LIT Lighting Design Awards received more than 650 applications from 51 countries, and the applications were reviewed by 43 architects, interior designers, academics and media representatives from the lighting industry.

Designed by Beijing Puri Lighting Design, the Guiyang center was a finalist in the prestigious Architizer A+Awards earlier this year.

Established in 2017, the LIT Lighting Design Awards aims to commend international outstanding lighting product designers and lighting projects.

Located beside the Aha Lake in Guiyang, the Guiyang International Fashion Publishing Center is a landmark in the city. In April next year, the center will exhibit 121 works by Salvador Dali, and the exhibition will be part of a major event to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Spanish relations.
