Guiyang resumes public transport operation

Public transportation in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has resumed operation in an orderly manner since Sept 20, in accordance with the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control in different regions.

Buses, rail and taxis in the city are understood to have adjusted their operation according to the requirements. 

On Sept 20, the Guiyang Rail Transit Group optimized its routes and adjusted the train operation map. 

Wang Haokun, in charge of Guiyang Rail Transit operations, said the frequency of disinfections of facilities in the city's metro stations had been increased to provide a safe travel environment for passengers. 

A total of 126 bus lines have adopted different operation measures in the normalized epidemic prevention and control areas, temporary static management areas, as well as in high, medium and low risk management areas.

For example, some 40 bus lines operating in Guanshanhu district require passengers travelling within the district undergo body temperature measurements, and provide 48-hour nucleic acid negative certificates and green health codes.

Meanwhile, those traveling between districts need to additionally provide a 24-hour nucleic acid negative certificate and cross-district pass.
