The Zhenshan International Art Image Week is currently underway in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – kicking off on Aug 6 and running through to Aug 12.
The event showcases 230 photos shot by 21 domestic and international photographers and is also showing eight documentaries.
With its theme of "Mid-Levels", the event is taking place in Zhenshan village. Guizhou photographers and overseas photographers are sharing with visitors a wide diversity of their art.
Yang Andi, the art director, said that through the event he hoped the artists from Zhenshan will be known to more people and that it will attract more visitors to spend future vacations in the village.
The event is open to the public at no charge and includes lectures, image displays and documentaries.
