Guiyang big data sci-tech innovation city – located in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province – on July 12 received 790 million yuan ($117.46 million) in financial support from the new municipal industrialization and new urbanization fund for the construction of major projects.
One of the three developers of Guiyang big data sci-tech innovation city – Guian Industrial Development Holding Group Co – has planned the first stage of the city's digital economy industrial cluster and the finance harbor district A projects.
The first phase of the digital economy industrial cluster has a total planned investment of 1.03 billion yuan and will include a digital project, a supercomputer center, a data storage center and a big data incubation base.
The district A of the finance harbor project will construct sci-tech innovation buildings, residential facilities, service and management buildings, underground garages and equipment rooms. The total building area will cover 297,000 square meters, providing 1,700 parking spaces for cars, 2,200 parking spaces for non-motor vehicles and about 340 charging piles.
The project will be completed in two years, with a planned investment of 1.78 billion yuan.
Currently, the company has completed its investment-raising target for 2022, but is facing financial pressure. With the help of Guian and provincial government departments, it successfully applied for 400 million yuan in support from the new industrialization fund in half a month and 390 million yuan from the new urbanization fund in three months.
