The G372 high-speed train departed from the Guiyang North Railway Station at 9:39 am on June 20 and arrived in Beijing at 9:34 pm on the same day, marking the first direct high-speed train between the two cities.

The whole trip consists of 22 stations and takes 11 hours and 55 minutes, with a total length of 2,138 kilometers.

On the first day of operation, the train was decorated with introductions of food, natural scenery, culture, history and folk customs of cities along the route.

Chen Jiaying, conductor of G372, said that the train passes through famous revolutionary base areas such as Zunyi, Chongqing and Shijiazhuang, as well as tourism hot spots such as Wushan, Shennongjia, Xiangyang and Handan.

To celebrate the debut of the route, the train crew prepared gifts and organized various activities to introduce tourism, food and culture along the train's route.

Zhou Wenpu, a teacher and passenger on G372, visited Guizhou 10 years ago. He said he was impressed by Guizhou's development in transportation and learned more about the history of the Red Army by riding the train.

After Guiyang's railway stations rescheduled their train routes on June 20, the D8572 train between Guiyang and Wushan, and the G2680/1 and G2682/79 trains between Guiyang and Nantong began traveling along the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway.
