Guiyang-Huangping Expressway opens to traffic

The newly-built Guiyang-Huangping Expressway connecting the city of Guiyang with Huangping county in Southwest China's Guizhou province, opened to the public on May 31.

The 120.6-kilometer expressway has three lanes in both directions and a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour. It shortens travel time between Guiyang and Huangping from 3.5 hours to less than 1.5 hours.

The expressway makes it more convenient for Guiyang, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture to connect with the Yangtze Delta Area and the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster.
