At a dispatch meeting of the 2022 China International Big Data Industry Expo to be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, Guiyang's officials stressed stringent preparations to ensure the success of the expo.

Ma Ningyu, mayor of Guiyang, said that the expo is an international event and world-class platform, and that all the departments must take expo guests, forums, exhibitions, talent attraction and security assurance into consideration.

Government departments at the provincial and municipal levels must specify forum themes, refine exhibition plans, enhance expo promotion, and plan for news releases.

The aim is to invite more expo guests, attract investment from major big data companies, prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, and ensure safety at the expo.

The 2021 Big Data Expo was held both online and offline, with the offline exhibition being participated in by 225 companies, and the online exhibition boasting 442 exhibits.

This year's Big Data Expo will be held in Guiyang on May 26-28, and is currently attracting cooperation partners and exhibitors. So far, more than 80 exhibitors have secured their booths for the expo.
