To prepare for the smooth operations of the China-Europe freight trains after the Spring Festival holiday and amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Guiyang Dulaying International Logistics Port – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Feb 7 carried out out-of-box inspections of containers and arranged container loading.

An out-of-box inspection or audit is a visual check – making sure that the unit has the correct labels plus all the manuals or other parts that need to be shipped with it inside the box. Labels from the unit should also match the ones outside the box.

In February, four freight trains are scheduled to head to Europe directly from Guizhou.

Since Guizhou's direct China-Europe freight trains were successfully operated in January, Guizhou Railway Investment Dulaying Logistics Co has been working with Guizhou Multimodal Transport Industry Development Co to customize cross-border logistics solutions for different companies.

According to the latter group, more and more companies have shown interest in working with it in international freight transportation. This has reportedly given Guizhou Multimodal Transport confidence in normalizing the operations of the China-Europe freight trains.

Related departments of the Guiyang South Railway Station also checked the freight information, inspected the containers and checked the security and input freight information to prepare for the ramped-up transportation after the Spring Festival holiday.
