Guiyang's economy maintains stable growth

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has seen stable growth in its economic development during the first 11 months of 2021.

From January to November, Guiyang's added value of industries above a designated size increased by 8 percent year-on-year. The added value of high-tech manufacturers above a designated size increased by 13.4 percent, and the growth rate of added value of new energy, new material and digital economy all exceeded 30 percent.

During the same period, Guiyang's added value of middle and large scale enterprises increased by 10.5 percent year-on-year, which is 2.5 percentage points higher than the municipal average.

Meanwhile, Guiyang's fixed-asset investment decreased by 10.5 percent year-on-year, and the paid-up fixed-asset investment was 185.27 billion yuan ($29.11 billion) and increased by 2.8 percent year-on-year.

Guiyang's industrial investment accounted for 14.4 percent of fixed-asset investment, which was 2.9 percent higher than the same period last year and increased by 12.3 percent year-on-year.

From January to November, Guiyang's retail sales of social consumer goods above a designated size reached 95.35 billion yuan, increasing by 4.4 percent year-on-year. The sales of Guiyang's wholesale sector was 27.06 billion yuan, increasing by 42.1 percent year-on-year.
