A China-Europe freight train carrying 50 containers departed from the Dulaying international land-sea logistics port in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 18, marking the opening of Guizhou's direct China-Europe freight train service.

The route is 11,201 kilometers long and starts at Dulaying, passes through Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia, and ends in Moscow. Freight trains can arrive in Moscow within 15 days, 38 days quicker than sea transportation.

The first freight train on the route is carrying guitars, electron devices, non-ferrous metals and ceramic products and is expected to arrive in Moscow on Dec 3.

In the future, Guizhou will open more railway cargo routes to Poland and Germany.

As an important gateway of the New International Land-Sea Corridor, the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Belt and Road Initiative, Guizhou serves as a land transportation hub in Southwest China and is suitable for foreign trade due to its abundant mineral and biological resources and agricultural products.

Guizhou Railway Investment Group Co, operator of the Dulaying international land-sea logistics port, will continue to integrate foreign trade transportation resources in Guizhou and neighboring areas, and optimize transportation plans for Guizhou's foreign trade companies.

The company will help Guizhou expand its industrial and supply chains, improve foreign trade services, and regularize the operation of the direct China-Europe freight train.
