An exhibition featuring the history and achievements of China's aerospace sector is currently taking place at the Colorful Guizhou Cultural Creative Industry Zone in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – and will run to Nov 5.
The exhibition, which opened in the city on Oct 15, is showcasing 55 exhibits including the return capsule of China's Shenzhou spacecraft, spacesuits, rocket fragments, space food, rocket models and satellite models. It is open free to the public.
Volunteers are organizing science popularization activities at schools to raise students' interest in aerospace science. So far, the volunteers have organized more than 1,100 science popularization activities for more than 190,000 people.
The travelling exhibition began in September and will last until January next year. Plans are for it to traverse more than 10,000 kilometers across China.
