The digital energy development summit of the second Guiyang Industrial Expo was recently held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The summit invited university and research institution experts, as well as enterprise representatives, to analyze relevant policies and exchange experience and establish a collaboration system between government departments, universities, research institutes, users, and financial institutions.

Liu Biyan, deputy director of the Guizhou Energy Administration, said at the summit that the energy industry has relied on policy guidance, financial boosting, and resource investment, as it lacks customer-oriented awareness.

The digital energy induced by the digital and energy revolutions provides new approaches for solving traditional energy problems, Liu added.

University and research institution experts delivered speeches on smart mines, consumption-side energy internet development, industrial internet of energy, and intelligent technologies.

Representatives of energy enterprises and industrial associations also discussed their experience in smart mine construction and intelligent power grids.

The summit is expected to promote the informatization of Guizhou's and China's energy enterprises, explore the digitalization of energy, solve energy problems in digital development, promote the transformation of the energy structure, and boost digital economic development.
