The 12th Guiyang Tourism Industry Development Conference was held in Wudang district, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 22. The conference has one main venue, two sub-venues, and seven demonstration areas to showcase Guiyang's tourism development in recent years.
At Wanxiang hot spring – one of the demonstration areas – guests enjoyed beautiful natural scenery and hot springs. The hot spring is one of Guizhou's top 100 tourism areas and covers an area of 36 mu (2.4 hectares).
It received 460 million yuan ($71.14 million) in investment and is a comprehensive hot spring vacation center receiving 500,000 visits annually.

At an intangible cultural heritage experience center in Wudang's Pianpo township, businesses related to Guizhou's famous snacks, commodities, and ethnic medicine were presented.
Other demonstration areas involved the Bouyei ethnic group's traditional culture, the history of the Communist Party of China, and agriculture.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, Guiyang and Guian New Area signed agreements for 13 tourism projects.
In addition, Guiyang launched 10 boutique tourism routes at the opening ceremony of the 12th Guiyang Tourism Industry Development Conference.
