Chinese major online travel booking platform Ctrip recently released a report on projected itineraries for autumn and the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival holiday on Sept 19-21.
According to the report, released on Sept 7, Guizhou's provincial capital Guiyang ranked first among the most popular planned travel destinations for customized tour groups – small scale groups that have emerged amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
These tour groups have arranged tailored tourist routes, sizes and departure times to avoid crowds.
Ctrip data showed that the booking of customized tour groups during Mid-Autumn Festival Holiday increased by 550 percent from the period Aug 20 to Sept 6.
The reservation numbers for package tours in Guizhou also increased by 216 percent year-on-year on Sept 6 during the same period.
Guizhou's projected top 10 most popular scenic spots for the Mid-Autumn Festival are Fanjing Mountain, Huangguoshu Waterfall, the Xijiang One-thousand-household Miao Village, Libo Xiaoqikong scenic area, the Axilixi Jiucaiping scenic area, Qingyan Ancient Town, the Tianhetan scenic area, Qianlingshan Park, the Axilixi grassland and Zhaoxing Dong Village.
