The southwest loop-line of the Guiyang urban express railway will soon open to traffic – making Guiyang the first provincial capital with such a system – in a development expected to contribute to the city's urban space optimization, economic development and public transportation service.

The loop-line for Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – will connect high-speed railways with the city's urban and intercity railways, strengthening the metropolis' role as a railway hub in the region.

The opening of the loop-line will reportedly provide rapid transportation between Baiyun district, Guanshanhu district, Guian New Area, Huaxi district, the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone and Wudang district, bringing the metropolitan areas closer.

The loop-line will also complete Guiyang's public transportation network with Metro Line 1 and Line 2, as well as the first stage of Metro Line 3 and Line S1 under construction.

As a result, the transport network is seen providing more options to residents and improving their travel experience.
