Guiyang reports more industrial projects, investment in H1

In the first half of the year Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou – reportedly focused on industrial investment and project construction to promote its industrialization.

During the period, the city's industrial economy continued to recover and investment grew rapidly.

The city introduced 55 industrial projects each with an investment of over 100 million yuan ($15.42 million) in the first six months, with a total investment of more than 50 billion yuan.

Funds in place for industrial projects exceeded 40 billion yuan, accounting for 51 percent of the city's funds in place for investment.

Over the period, 111 projects with an investment of 28.6 billion yuan started construction. The number of projects and total investment increased by 117.7 percent and 80.8 percent, respectively year-on-year.

Moving forwards, plans are for Guiyang to develop the industrial economy and expand industrial investment. It will ensure that 300 new industrial projects are introduced throughout the year, with 80 billion yuan of funds for investment in place.
