The 2021 China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week will be held online and offline in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Aug 26 to Sept 1. The preparation work is now under progress.
This year's educational cooperation week will be themed around cooperating on sustainable education development between China and ASEAN countries.
The educational cooperation week will include an opening ceremony and 24 activities, and another 40 activities will be held all year round. The activities will involve higher education, vocational education, preschool education, adult education, educational cooperation involving the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), cooperation between schools and enterprises, integration of education and industry resources, and exchanges between teenagers.
Due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, guests, such as national leaders, government officials, university presidents, experts, teachers, students and company representatives, will attend the event online and offline.
To further integrate teenager exchange activities between China and ASEAN countries, the secretariat of the educational cooperation week established an art education base in Libo county's Hongjiang village and an art activity center in Guiyang's Baiyun district.
The art education base and the art activity center are expected to promote Guizhou's cooperation with ASEAN countries, counties involved in the BRI, as well as international activities.
