Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is decorated to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which will fall on July 1 this year.

At Guiyang's Zhucheng Square, a sculpture has been set up at a flower bed. The sculpture is made of plants shaped like a red star, an ornamental column, mountains and rivers, representing the history and achievements of CPC.

Sculptures with similar themes have also been set up at Guiyang's other landmarks, such as Dashiji Square and the square in front of Guizhou Provincial Government. Flags with slogans are hung along Zhonghua Road, Beijing Road, Qianlingshan Road, and Xihu Road.
