Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently held a preparatory meeting for 2021 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, which will be held in the city both online and offline at the end of August.
The 2021 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week will be themed around education technology innovation, the cultivation of commerce talent, and the promotion of education cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN.
The cooperation week will feature activities involving higher education, vocational education, preschool education, adult education, education cooperation based on the Belt and Road Initiative, cooperation between universities and enterprises, the integration of industries and education, and exchanges between children.
The event is considered the only exchange platform themed around education between the Chinese and ASEAN governments. Guizhou plans to use it as an opportunity to further the opening-up of its education industry.
This year's cooperation week has received applicants from more than 60 projects from various countries. After professional reviews, some of the projects will be presented during the cooperation week, while some will be carried out year-round.
Guizhou has also started a youth exchange plan to expand international cooperation, attract international students, and improve Guizhou's competitiveness and influence in education.
