The 2021 Guiyang big data and network security drill was held on May 17 at Guiyang's big data security industry demonstration zone and will last until the end of the Big Data Expo. The drill aimed to explore Guizhou's development approach to the digital economy.

The drill looked for security loopholes and weaknesses in the digital defense systems with the goal of improving Guiyang's network security level.

Various big data and network security products will be exhibited during the drill, and big data security forums will be held as part of the upcoming 2021 Big Data Expo.

Guiyang has successfully held five drills since 2016, due in large part to the big data security industry demonstration zone and national big data security range.

The demonstration zone undertakes drills, scientific research training, cultivation of the big data security industry and other big data-related business. It has attracted more than 120 big data security institutions and enterprises, becoming a national big data security industrial cluster.

Currently, Guiyang and Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone are accelerating the construction of new infrastructure to become "digital twin cities." The goal is to achieve 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion) of big data security industry scale and cultivate 100 major big data security enterprises.

Guiyang will also share its big data security and new infrastructure experience with other provinces to help them improve their network defense ability.
