Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province held a ceremony on March 27 to mark the start of construction on major projects for the first quarter of this year. The event was held in Guiyang's Baiyun district.
The 77 projects will receive a total investment of 40.45 billion yuan ($6.16 billion), 11.34 billion yuan of which will be in place this year.
The projects include 51 new model industrialization projects, seven agricultural modernization projects, 17 tourism industrialization projects and two other projects.
During the past year, Guiyang and Guian have achieved economic growth while preventing and controlling the novel coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, which is the starting year of the 14 Five-Year Plan (2021-25), Guiyang will strive to maintain its high economic growth rate by focusing on project construction.
Guiyang will provide whole-process service for the introduction, construction and operation of the projects, promptly solve problems for companies and create an attractive business environment to promote investment.
