An industrial park of Hengli Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, started construction in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 26 – only 52 days after the project agreement was signed.

Hengli Group will invest 22 billion yuan ($3.37 billion) to build the industrial park, which will be equipped with advanced equipment and production technologies and become a manufacturing center of new materials in Southwest China.

According to the plan, the industrial park's first stage will cover 3,457 mu (230.47 hectares) and be put into operation in July next year.

To ensure the project's implementation, Guiyang and Guian established a promotion work team tasked with investment attraction, project planning and construction, land security, project approval, energy security and financial security.

Meanwhile, Guiyang and Guian's government departments opened express channels for land expropriation and house removal, land adjustment and planning, project approval procedures, electrical wire relocation and land clearing.

Through these efforts, the project's use of 62 mu of forest was approved in one week, the 220-kilovolt electric wires were relocated in half a month, the river realignment plan was completed in one month, and the construction land was cleared in 40 days.

When the project goes into operation, it will have an annual output value of 26 billion yuan, create jobs for 15,000 people, become a textile downstream industrial cluster, and lay the foundation for Guiyang and Guian's economic growth.
