Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently issued an implementation plan to boost nighttime economy development and perfect the nighttime economy consumption system.
According to the scheme, Guiyang and Guian New Area will launch at least 10 demonstration streets to help develop the nighttime economy.
Guiyang will build nighttime economy clusters and extend the hours of operation at public cultural facilities. The city will also establish supporting facilities for the nighttime economy and create experiential consumption methods to stimulate economic development.
In the next three to five years, Guiyang will strive to enrich consumption patterns such as nighttime shopping, nighttime tourism, nighttime entertainment and nighttime dining, and form a series of featured nighttime economy clusters, demonstration streets and buildings to increase the nighttime economy's contribution to the city's economic growth.
