Guiyang, Guian become pilot areas for service trade innovation

According to the State Council, Guiyang city and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province were recently approved to become pilot areas for the development of service trade innovations.

As pilot areas of the national inland open economy experimental zone, Guiyang and Guian have always viewed opening-up as a strategic move to accelerate service trade development. In 2019, the execution amount of software and information service outsourcing contracts was $200 million in Guiyang and $36.31 million in Guian.

In the first five months of this year, the execution amount of software and information service outsourcing contracts reached $178 million.

According to Guiyang's bureau of commerce, Guiyang and Guian will fully utilize their advantages to become trade service development pilot areas.

Guian will also be included in Guiyang's service trade and service outsourcing development strategies.

Meanwhile, Guiyang will improve the quality of its local service industries and encourage the development of emerging, technology-based service industries, such as remote education, online consumption, no-touch delivery and intelligent services.

Guiyang will solicit foreign and domestic capital to invest in its service industries to stimulate market vitality and healthy competition.
