Exchanges between Guiyang and Bengaluru started in the 2014. Bengaluru is the capital of Karnataka state and the third largest city in India. It has a metropolitan population of approximately 6.5 million people, ranking as the fifth largest in the country. The city is situated at an elevation of 921m above sea level and enjoys a temperate climate and an average annual rainfall of 924mm.
General, IBM, Oracle, Texas Instruments and other internationally renowned enterprises as well as Indian consulting firms Infosys, Wipro and Tata are located here. At the same time, Airbus, Boeing, Google, Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz, Philips and other international companies all have R&D centers in the city.
The local technology industry is divided into three parks: Software Technology Park of India (STPI), International Tech Park, Bengaluru (ITPB) and the Bengaluru Electronic City.
Over the past 10 years, Bengaluru has developed into a center for tech in India, becoming known as "India's Silicon Valley", whilst also being named in the world's top ten preferred places to start up business.
