Palmerston North, New Zealand

Palmerston North, or "Palmy", is the 7th largest city in New Zealand. The city is 128 kilometers northeast to the capital of Wellington. The city covers 395 square kilometers and has a population of 86,300. Its population structure is one of the youngest in New Zealand. As a "city of students", Palmy has five well-known and high-level universities including Massey University and International Pacific College.

Palmy has been Guiyang's sister city for over 20 years. Palmy and Guiyang have a long history of cooperation in aspects of agriculture, and they have great cooperation potential in education, culture, city planning and environmental protection.
