Financial institutions to support Guiyang, Guian development

Thirteen financial institutions signed cooperation agreements in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province on March 14 to provide 450 billion yuan ($63.7 billion) in the next three years to support the integrated development of Guiyang and Guian.

According to the agreements, the 13 financial institutions will support advantageous industries and key projects involving infrastructure, industrial development, environmental protection, rural revitalization, and public health in Guiyang and Guian to promote economic growth.

The financial institutions are optimistic about Guiyang and Guian's development potential, and will provide convenience for loan applications to meet the capital needs of agriculture, entertainment, education, and technology R&D.

Han Mei, director of the Guiyang finance work office, said that the government will carry out regular meetings to promote the launch ofthe projects, as well as enhance communication to recommend high-quality projects to the financial institutions to achieve maximum finance support.

The Guiyang finance bureau will establish platforms to allow the financial institutions to learn information regarding the projects, provide assistance to solve financing, construction and operation problems for the projects, as well as issue supporting policies for the financing institutions, said Luo Guiqing, vice director of the Guian finance bureau.
